sieve daily stories
Last updated September 14, 2026
sieve, by Koi Platforms Inc., at www.internetsieve.com. “sieve daily stories” is an optional text-message program for people who use sieve. Once you add and verify a mobile number, we send you one text a day pointing at the new stories from the sources you saved. That is the whole program: no marketing, no third-party content, nothing to anyone who didn't ask.
Messages come from our toll-free number, (855) 514-5226. Questions: gavin.lifrieri@usekoi.com.
How you opt in
Texts are opt-in only, through a web form inside sieve. After signing in with Google, you add a mobile number either from the prompt that appears once you have saved sources, or at any time from Settings. Because those screens are behind sign-in, here is the complete flow as it appears in the product:
1. Prompt after sign-in

Optional: “Not now” closes it, “Don't ask me again” keeps it closed.
2. Enter a number and agree

The same form in Settings. The disclosure under the button is the consent: brand, what we send, frequency, that texts are optional, message and data rates, STOP and HELP, and links to the Privacy Policy and Terms.
3. Confirm the code

Tapping “Text me a code” sends a one-time verification code to that number. Nothing recurring is sent until the code is entered and the number is confirmed as yours.
4. Verified; change or remove any time

From here the daily text goes out. “Remove” ends the program for that number immediately, as does replying STOP.
Adding a number is never required: every part of sieve works without one, and agreeing to texts is not a condition of creating an account or getting recommendations.
For reference, the form and its consent text as crawlable text:
one more thing
Want your stories by text?
Add a mobile number and we'll send the day's picks straight to your phone. Optional, and you can turn it off later.
Mobile number
US numbers work as-is; add the country code for anywhere else (+44, +33, …).
By tapping “Text me a code” you agree to receive a one-time verification code, then 1 text a day from sieve (Koi Platforms Inc.) with your daily stories. Texts are optional and not required to use sieve. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
The consent text above is shown verbatim on the form. The live form is in Settings after you sign in.
What we send
Two kinds of message, and only these:
- A one-time verification code when you add or change a number, sent through Twilio Verify. Example:Your sieve verification code is: 482913
- One daily digest once your number is verified, in the morning US time: a short reading plan from the sources you saved, with a link to each item. Example:sieve: 14 min of reading for you today: 1. Why the Fed paused (6m) https://www.internetsieve.com/r/aaaaaaaa 2. Building a homelab (5m) https://www.internetsieve.com/r/bbbbbbbb 3. The last tweet (3m) https://www.internetsieve.com/r/cccccccc Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.On a day with nothing new, the text says so instead of listing items.
The links go to internetsieve.com and open the item you picked. We may also text you about the program itself, for example if delivery to your number starts failing. Every recurring message carries the STOP and HELP instructions.
Frequency and cost
Frequency. Up to 1 recurring message a day, plus one-time verification codes when you add or change a number.
Cost. sieve does not charge for texts. Message and data rates may apply; check with your carrier.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message from us. You'll get one confirmation text and then nothing more. You can also remove or change your number at any time from Settings, and deleting your account removes the number too.
Reply HELP to any message from us for help, or email gavin.lifrieri@usekoi.com.
Your number
Your number is used only for this program. It is never sold, shared with third parties for their marketing, or used for anything other than the messages described here. Our Privacy Policy covers how we store and protect it, and our Terms of Service (section 4, Text messages) set out the program terms in full.
Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device; the program supports the major US carriers, and texting outside the US may be limited.
